Healthy Fast Food Chains Making Presence Known
In a day and age where one in four Americans are considered to be obese (over the average body weight for their height and size by at least thirty pounds or more), more folks are looking to supplement unhealthy food for a better fare, one that does not contribute to their overall weight gain. And who can really blame us for wanting to eat and feel fitter? Those across the world constantly call us Americans fat, but now that we are starting to do something about it, they may all very well have to hold their tongues come the next few years. The reality is that fast food chains are a convenience for most Americans, who are always on the go. So the best way to counteract this dilemma is by introducing Americans to healthy fast food restaurants that offer zero guilt splurging.
Why Healthy Fast Food Chains are Doing so Well
There are currently several major healthy fast food chains that are doing quite well. Kyoto Bowl offers fresh sushi and iced tea, as well as a variety of other healthy snacks and eats at bargain prices. Subway’s role model forever has been Jared, the guy who lost hundreds of pounds by adhering to a strict sub sandwich diet. Let’s not forget other notable healthy fast food chains, such as Pick Up Stix – which serves organic wokk'ed food that has no MSG and is entirely guilt-free. And then there is Baja Fresh, and Taco Del Mar, where consumers can have the food made the way that they like it using fresh and healthy ingredients. Healthy fast food chains are doing well because Americans want to lose weight, but still love fast food.
The Standard Fast Food Restaurants are Jumping on the Bandwagon
Of course, it would be seemingly far fetched that a burger joint like Dairy Queen, McDonald’s or Burger King would be able to offer healthy fast food. But they sure as heck will try their best. All of these giants are now offering salads and wraps that have no carbs and taste okay – but they pale in comparison to the eats that you will find at the real healthy fast food restaurants. And so, those who are duped into eating bad fast food, under the guises of it being healthy will perhaps give in. But cats like you and me know the true difference.
My Favorite Healthy Fast Food Restaurants
I have a few favorite healthy fast food restaurants, which are all named above. I swear by Subway – its just great eating, cheap and no worrying about excess weight gain. Then my favorite Asian healthy fast food restaurant is Pick Up Stix – they even use their own FDA approved commissary for their fresh foods and organics, so you know that you are getting the highest quality food, and fast—cooked over flame on a wok right before your very eyes.
Do you Know of Any Healthy Fast Food Chains? Please Share!
I am always on the lookout for new healthy fast food chains to dine at. If you know of any in the Southwest, please comment and share your experience. Together we can say goodbye to harmful and fatty, sub par fast food eats.
