Stingray Sushi in Scottsdale, AZ Offers Good Food, Hip Times!
If you find yourself in the illustrious, yuppie city of Scottsdale, Arizona, then you already know that it is posh at its finest. The city typically fashions itself after Beverly Hills, California, however, it is void of a beachfront. At the same time, the city of Scottsdale hosts some of the finest restaurants in the country, some of the most luxurious, and signature shopping centers, and is also home to one of the best sushi joints you will ever find, Stingray Sushi in South Scottsdale, Arizona!
The place is set just south of Camelback Rd—a major thoroughfare through the city, right off 2nd street. It is tucked away, but the decadent patio that sits street side is the easiest way to find this sushi eatery. Once you walk in you will see a really nice bar to the left, and plenty of seating to the right, as well as a sushi bar. The interior is dimly lit and romantic, featuring rustic Japanese artworks and bronze statues.
The presentation at this place is one of a kind. Their prices are really hard to beat at the same time, especially considering where the sushi joint is located. Last time I was there, my favorite dish was the salmon sashimi—fresh strips of raw salmon sliced finely on a plate over a bed of uncooked rice noodles, served with wasabe, ginger and soy ($8.95). Don’t forget to wash it all down with a well priced sake bomber ($4.50)—and if you think you are dreaming, it’s only because the food tastes so damn good!
Stingray Sushi Head Chef Featured on Daytime Cooking Show!
The sushi at Stingray Sushi is so darned good, and so top of the line that the head chef, Andrew Nam, was recently featured on 3 TV, a local Arizona TV show, demonstrating how to make some of the finest Japanese dishes. Nam is well known around the world as a fairly famous sushi chef. When you eat at Sting Ray Sushi in Scottsdale, AZ, you will be eating some of the finest sushi to be had in the entire state of Arizona. However, what you won’t get is the biggest bill. In fact, after eating here and many other places, I have realized that Stingray offers some of the best food, tantamount to the best prices to be found on fresh, gourmet sushi!
