There is no ordinary night at Flicka’s Baja Cantina on Scottsdale Road, just on the southern most end of South Scottsdale, Arizona. But what you will find is a welcoming bar and grill with a very friendly staff and one of the nicer live music venues in the entire city, and the state of Arizona for that matter! In fact, after witnessing several live shows, the sound at Flicka’s is off the hook and the staff is well prepared for large scale events. Meaning that even if it does become crowded inside – which is fairly often – you won’t have to be waiting with an empty stomach or glass for long before a friendly server comes to your table! This bar and grill offers a large patio with covered seating and an outdoor bar, they also have seating or about a hundred patrons inside at larger, and comfy high-top tables. The service is genuine and great and their menu is not that shabby either. Last time I ate there I enjoyed a draft domestic brew with a large plate of twelve honey-barbeque chicken wings. They also serve some pretty damn good cheeseburgers, and are known for hosting an incredible Flicka’s Burger consisting of choice, ground sirloin and all the good toppings! In a nutshell, Flicka’s is an off the beaten path bar and grill with much to offer. This joint offers a casual environment with clean facilities, great service, decent prices and plenty to choose from on their menu. If you enjoy live music, stop by on any weekend and enjoy numerous bands and a good, friendly crowd. A Popular Cover Band Heats up the Night on the Main Stage at Flicka’s The popular Arizonan cover band known as Cobalt Fall takes to the stage for their final song of the night at Flicka’s Baja Cantina in Scottsdale, Arizona. The tune: "Working Man" by Rush – and actually performed rather well much to my surprise. As you can see from the video, the stage is rather large in size and space, and the lighting system is first rate. Flicka’s hosts live music several nights of the week, typically on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There is nearly never a cover to get in, and they offer great food and drink specials every night.
