The Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery in Mesa, AZ is a Scottish Good Time

I find myself once again headed to another great little place to eat while out running my daily errands. This time, it’s the Tilted Kilt in Mesa, AZ. While I was not expecting all that much before eating there, what I got was a pleasant surprise that will keep me coming back to this place for years to come.

The Food
This place is better known by the locals who frequent it as a pub and an eatery. Their menu was recently redone and features booklet like menus that have glossy pages and are really nice. They offer nearly fifty different things that you can eat, from building your own custom wood fire pizzas, to hoagies, sandwiches and even steaks. When I was there, I ate the Fat Bastard’s Meat Loaf Sandwich. A decadent trim of home made meatloaf on a hoagie bun with Guinness BBQ sauce and provolone cheese. It was actually the best damn meatloaf I have ever had, and they make everything from scratch here.

The Pub
The tilted Kilt is a pub and eatery located in central Mesa, Arizona. The building is rather large and can accommodate several hundred patrons. Large ceilings and a mahogany bar offer a rustic, Scottish and Irish ambience. The outside patio offers seating for smokers and non smokers. You can sit at the bar, at a table, a booth, or outside on the mister covered patio, which also offers outdoor heating during the winter months.

Live Music: Incognito playing Ace of Spades on St. Patrick’s Day at the Tilted Kilt
The local Arizonan band, Incognito, performs a huge set on a makeshift outdoor stage at the Tilted Kilt in Mesa, Arizona on St. Patrick’s Day, 2008. This pub is known for throwing enormous parties to celebrate the holidays, and they even have an indoor stage where local bands perform every Saturday night. If you are looking for a hopping good time, you need not look any further than the Tilted Kilt in Mesa, AZ. You will find great live music, awesome beer and drink specials, and tons of signature food items on the menu.
