Two Indiana hospitals received a special visitor on December 15th. The McDonald’s Joy of Giving Campaign has been taking place as some of you already know. Ronald McDonald decided to stop by two of the hospitals in Indiana to bring some cheer to the patient’s lives.
Ronald McDonald spent time at the two locations visiting with the children as well as giving out early Christmas gifts. Some of the gifts he gave out consisted of electronics such as digital cameras and he even gave gifts to the children of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The parents were all very surprised and they were very grateful as well. It is always good to see restaurant’s taking part in giving back to the community and we all know that McDonald’s is one that likes to give back a lot.
McDonald’s understands that dealing with sick children is not one of the easiest things to do but they felt that it would be a good idea to bring some holiday spirit and cheer to the children even if it only lasted momentarily. Not to mention the fact that the parents of the children found it very heartwarming that someone would take the time out to bring their children’s gifts during the holiday season.
We have all read about the secret Santa’s that immerged all over the nation this holiday season. However, I think that this story that has just been shared is one of the most touching ones that took place during the holidays.
