Everyone loves to eat out. Eating out at a restaurant means that you do not have to slave over a hot stove, oven (or microwave, for that matter!). You do not have to plan out a meal and buy every little ingredient and spice that you need to make your planned dishes a reality. Unfortunately, let's face it; eating out a lot can get expensive. Especially with the holiday season here, budgets in this country are tight. Holiday shopping is draining most of our extra funds, and eating out can put an extra strain on your wallets this season. Even so, there is nothing better than hitting a great restaurant for an easy dinner after a long day of Christmas shopping. Here are some tips to finding some great deals on your favorite restaurants, so that you can eat out more often:
1. Find the website of your favorite restaurant, and look for a mailing list. Often, restaurants offer an incentive for people who provide their email addresses on the company's website. They will often compensate you immediately with a great coupon in your email. Even if they do not, you will now be on their email list when their next great printable coupon is released.
2. Don't throw out the Sunday newspaper ads and direct mail ads. These ads often contain great coupons, such as buy one entree, get one free coupons. Restaurants that often have this type of coupon in the direct mail ads are Denny's and IHOP. Who does not love a free meal?
3. Before going to a restaurant, do a Google search. Put the name of the restaurant and the word "coupon" in the search box. This is a hit or miss technique, but you will often have a search result that either offers a printable coupon, or directs you as to where you can find a restaurant coupon in your recent ads. It often helps to put the year, such as "2011" in the search box as well, so you do not get a bunch of old, expired discount results.
